âIs it just me, or does this place seem awfully familiar?â Muyang muttered when he saw the giant trees in front of him. âI feel like Iâve seen these trees before.â
Muyang thoroughly observed the trees and his surrounding for a while and scratched his head in distress, âFuck! What the hell is this place!â
Kusajishi Districtâs geographical layout was indeed quite complicated because there was barely any building around, just some tall trees with no distinct difference and nature trails formed due to people passing through, and even that was jumbled up. Muyang has never been to this place before, so he just kept walking based on instinct for quite a while and finally realized he was lost.
âFuck! shit!!â
Muyang was puzzled when he saw the intersecting path in front of him, pondering which path led to Seireitei.
Muyang sighed when he saw the sun was about to go down while he was still stuck in Kusajishi District. Luckily, Kazuya was not there. Otherwise, he wouldâve been rained down with mockery.
âWhatever will be, will be!â
After pondering for a while, Muyang chose the widest path and continued his journey.
âThereâs not even a signpost, let alone a map. As if that alone is not bad enough, there is no one to be found. How can I ask for direction? Is everyone in Kusajishi District dead or what?â
âDangdang dang~â the sound of swords clashing followed by a scream broke the dead silence.
âHm?â Muyang, who was dejected, snapped back to his senses because he finally heard a humanâs voice, even though it was a scream.
Muyang rushed to the place where he heard the voice with consecutive Shunpo. Upon arriving at the vicinity, he couldnât help but gasp even though he has seen quite a fair share of stuff during his time in Kusajishi District. It was simply hell on earth, even though there was indeed hell in Soul Society.
There were corpses as far as he could see. There must be at least one hundred corpses there, and almost none of them was intact with the smell of blood that wouldnât disappear.
Although Muyang has killed many people, this was the first time he saw this many dead bodies piling up in front of him, and almost all of them were dismembered.
âKill him! we have the numbers, and heâs alone.â
The voice of someone shouting drew Muyangâs attention. In the distance, he saw another 100 people charging toward a person out of desperation.
âFuck! Ganging up on one guy, arenât they ashamed of themselves?â Seeing this scene, Muyang recalled that he was also ganged up when he first arrived in Kusajishi District, so he wanted to help the guy being ganged up on.
âWait, what?â
Suddenly, Muyang was stopped in his tracks upon seeing the next scene that unfolded before his eyes. It was a massacre; the lone man decimated the 100 people charging straight at him.
A nearly 2 meters-tall man obviously stood out among other men there despite being surrounded by so many men. Another noticeable trait in his appearance was a long, thin scar running down the left side of his face and across his left eye. He had a wild and aggressive appearance, especially when he smiled menacingly while waving a thin, chipped and seemingly worn-down Zanpakuto in his hand, cutting down everyone in his path.
âThisâŠThereâs no doubt about it, it must be him, Zaraki Kenpachi!!!â
Although he looked relatively young, around his 20s, Muyang couldnât mistake the beast-like Zaraki Kenpachi at first glance.
Seeing Zaraki massacring everyone he saw, Muyang had mixed-up feelings. He was the first character from the anime that he encountered, so he was obviously excited. However, upon recalling his uncontainable desire to fight in the anime, he didnât know whether he should be excited or not, especially after realizing Zaraki had noticed him from afar.
âHe is a demon, a devil!!!â
âHeâs not an opponent we can defeat even with our numbersâŠâ
âRun away! run!
···········
Everyone immediately ran for their lives. Even those whose limbs have been decapitated tried their best to escape while Zaraki, who was unscathed, still held his Zanpakuto firmly, leaving only Zaraki and Muyang there.
âYou seem pretty strong. You should be able to withstand my strike; come and fight me!â Zaraki said to Muyang while brandishing his Zanpakuto.
âHuh?â Muyang was speechless because he was still thinking about how to say hello to Zaraki. He immediately raised his hand and refused, âIâm just passing by. Please donât mind me.â
âPassing by?? Whatâs with that excuse? Fight comes first, talk later!!â
Zaraki has already rushed to Muyang as he raised his Zanpakuto menacingly, ready to strike Muyang down.
âFuck!â Seeing Zaraki has already rushed toward him, Muyang panicked for a second but immediately used Shunpo to dodge Zarakiâs first attack. After successfully dodging Zarakiâs strike, Muyang looked back and gasped when he saw a huge ravine that was caused by Zarakiâs attack.
âThatâs his normal strike? As expected of Zaraki Kenpachi.â Muyang muttered.
âI said, we donât have to fight.â Muyang said to Zaraki, trying to quell his thirst to fight, but that seemed to fall into deaf ears.
âHa ha ha ha ·····â Zaraki laughed heartily and turned around with eyes full of excitement as the grin on his face became wider and wider, âI know youâre on a different league than those scumbags earlier. Come on, let me enjoy a good fight for once!!!â
âShit, itâs no use!â Seeing the grin on Zarakiâs face, Muyang knew there was no use to run or convince him.
âIs this for real?â Muyang held his scabbard with his left hand and gripped the hilt with his right hand while planting his feet deep on the ground and solidified his stance, âIt looks like thereâs no other choice but to fight you!â
He did say that, but he didnât know whether he could beat Zaraki in a fight. Either way, he had to give it a try, and since Zaraki was still in his 20s, he shouldnât be as strong as he was when he was the 11th Divisionâs Captain later. Moreover, Kazuya did say that he should be able to hold his own against a Captain, so he should be fine.
With that thought in mind, Muyang finally could calm himself down a bit. He adjusted his breathing and concentrated all his energy on the enemy in front of him, Zaraki.
Seeing Muyang seemed ready to fight, Zaraki cracked his neck and swung his hand that didnât hold the Zanpakuto. His eyes were solemn, but his grin was so sinister.
âInteresting, finally a person worth cutting.â
Seeing Zaraki getting closer and closer, Muyang firmly gripped the hilt, not letting his guard down for even a second.
âShua~ ~â Zaraki struck down heavily, aiming for Muyangâs forehead.
âDang~~~â
Muyang blocked it with his Zanpakuto, and their Reiatsu clash resulted in a hurricane blowing throughout the battlefield.
