Chapter 53 - Gathering and Waiting

“I’m going to kill you, Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai Shigekuni!”
The tip of Kimura Muyang’s Zanpakuto glowed in azure color. One look at it would send a chill down anyone’s spine. Even Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai’s eyes showed a trace of awe, albeit briefly.
Chƍjirƍ Sasakibe quickly used Shunpo and stood before Captain-Commander Yamamoto while holding his Zanpakuto and watched Kimura Muyang vigilantly. He clearly felt a threat as he saw Kimura Muyang’s Zanpakuto.
“Stand down, Chƍjirƍ.”
Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai slowly stood up and ordered Chƍjirƍ Sasakibe to stand down.
“Captain-Commander-sama!”
Chƍjirƍ Sasakibe gasped in shock as Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai even went as far as standing up and stop him.
“Chƍjirƍ, step back for a second.”
He didn’t sound stern, but his order was clearly not to be taken lightly.
Chƍjirƍ Sasakibe sheathed his Zanpakuto and stood behind Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai. He clearly was worried as his eyes were still on Kimura Muyang.
“No matter what happens here, don’t come close! Relay that to all members, including Captains.”
Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai said without looking back at Chƍjirƍ Sasakibe.
Chƍjirƍ Sasakibe looked at Kimura Muyang one last time as if to burn Kimura Muyang’s face in his mind before leaving to carry out the Captain-Commander’s order.
“Okay, now we’re the only ones left here. Let me see if you really can kill me.”
Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai’s cane was peeled off, revealing a Zanpakuto hidden inside it, the oldest and most powerful fire-type Zanpakuto in the history of Soul Society.
Even though he hasn’t drawn or released Shikai, the heat coming off from Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai was enough to leave Kimura Muyang in shock.
Is this the power of the strongest Shinigami!
But

Yamamoto Genryƫsai was indeed strong and intimidating, but not to the point where Kimura Muyang has lost the will to fight him!
“Reduce All Creation to Ash.”
Following Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai’s low voice, Kimura Muyang could feel the scorching Reiatsu that would burn everything in its path, and the entire 1st Division was dyed red.
“RyĆ«jin Jakka!”
Yamamoto Genryƫsai was suddenly surrounded by raging flames.
————————–
The moment Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai released his Shikai, everyone’s attention in Seireitei was drawn to the 1st Division.
Since it was already nighttime, the sky above the 1st Division particularly stood out because it was dyed red by Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai’s burning Reiatsu. Even those who were too far to see it could sense Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai’s scorching hot Reiatsu, and they immediately knew that Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai released his Shikai.
“This smells like trouble!”
Ukitake JĆ«shirƍ and Kyƍraku Shunsui were enjoying their drink when they sensed Yamamoto GenryĆ«sai’s Reiatsu. They immediately put down the sake in their hands and looked at each other. It was as if they both read each other’s minds with just one look, and they suddenly disappeared from that place, leaving only two sake jugs on the ground.
The same thing happened to all Captain’s Office in other divisions. The moment they sensed this Reiatsu, all Captain immediately set aside whatever they were doing and rushed to the 1st Division as quickly as possible.
“Captain Kyƍraku, Captain Ukitake, why don’t you go in?”
Shihƍin Masaaki asked as he hurried to the 1st Division door and found Kyƍraku Shunsui and Ukitake JĆ«shirƍ just standing in front of the door.
“Ah, Captain Shihƍin!” After turning around towards Shihƍin Masaaki Kyƍraku Shunsui helplessly pointed at Chƍjirƍ Sasakibe, who was standing right in front of the door, “The Old Master said, no one can go in no matter what happened inside.”
Even though he couldn’t go in, Kyƍraku Shunsui didn’t seem worried at all.
“Since the Old Master issued such an order, he must have his own reason. Let’s just wait here. ———Right, Captain Hikifune?”
“We have no choice.”
Hikifune Kirio was already there when Kyƍraku Shunsui pointed at Chƍjirƍ Sasakibe. She seemed down, and it couldn’t be helped as her Lieutenant was in there, so she couldn’t act like it was none of her business.
Kyƍraku Shunsui immediately caught on, so he immediately appeased Hikirfune Kirio: “no need to worry, I don’t think Kimura did this on a whim. Have faith in your men! Let’s just patiently wait here.
“Yes.” Hikifune Kirio replied shortly, but she was still as anxious.
It was exactly because she knew that Kimura Muyang wasn’t a rash person that she became even more worried!
“It’s okay, just wait here patiently.”
“Retsu!”
As soon as Hikifune Kirio saw the person standing beside her, she suddenly became a bit relaxed. Now that this person was here, there should be nothing to worry about. Even if something did happen, this person would be able to deal with it.
“Captain Unohana, why are you here as well?”
Kyƍraku Shunsui was surprised to see Unohana Retsu also showed up.
Unohana Retsu was smiling gently and said in her usual soft tone: “I think a situation that requires me may arise, so I came to check. After all, no one else could perform a better treatment than me.”
“Relax, it will be fine.” Unohana Retsu turned at Hikifune Kirio and smiled comfortingly.
Only after Unohana Retsu comforted her did Hikifune Kirio’s anxiety slowly faded, and she was silent once again.
“Thank you, Retsu.” Hikifune Kirio thanked Unohana Retsu and immediately looked up towards the 1st Division. “Since this is a decision he made himself, then as Captain, all I have to do now is believe in him and wait.”
“I’m not gonna fall behind, dad!”
The voice startled Shihƍin Masaaki so much that he almost fainted.
A silhouette popped out of nowhere. It was a dark-skinned girl wearing a yellow jacket, the Shihƍin Clan’s Princess, Shihƍin Yoruichi.
“My, oh my, if it isn’t Captain Shihƍin’s daughter.” Kyƍraku Shunsui started talking, “As expected of a Shihƍin Clan’s daughter, excellent Shunpo!”
“You flatter me.” Shihƍin Masaaki said with a clearly awkward smile.
“Don’t move from this spot! Everyone here is a Captain, so be on your best behaviour!” Shihƍin Masaaki was completely on his wits’ end when it came to dealing with his daughter.
Before Shihƍin Masaaki could say another word

“Shua~shua~shua~”
Another Captain joined them.
“Captain Kuchiki!”
Shihƍin Masaaki welcomed the old man, which was Kuchiki Ginrei.
“Well, If it isn’t Masaaki.” Shihƍin Masaaki glanced. Kuchiki Ginrei nodded, “And Yoruichi is here too.”
“Captain Kuchiki!”
Yoruichi welcomed Kuchiki Ginrei in a manner that befitted a noble.
Kuchiki Ginrei nodded at Yoruichi out of courtesy and shifted his attention towards Shihƍin Masaaki: “Don’t be so grumpy, Masaaki. she will soon take over as the next Shihƍin Clan’s Head. It wouldn’t be bad to go outside for a chance.”
Kuchiki Ginrei didn’t say much afterwards and simply faced toward the 1st Division with his eyes closed.
