Chapter 77 – Three People Make a Tiger 13

They saw a silver-gray metal elevator standing quietly beside the stairs behind the glass door.

Everyone approached in surprise and reached out to touch the elevator body. The familiar cold texture is indeed the kind of elevator they took to enter and exit the instance. However, the elevator button was dark and, no matter how much everyone pressed it, the elevator door did not open.

The lights overhead suddenly flickered. Immediately afterwards, a faint white shadow was reflected on the elevator door. The small shadow flashed past and everyone was startled. When they turned around, there was no one behind them. The spacious glass room was silent and only the slight hurried gasps of everyone could be heard.

“It’s Toshio…” The coquettish Member C of the film club said in horror. “Toshio is here and his mother Kayako is about to appear!” {For anyone that hasn’t watched Ju On/The Grudge (I recommend Ju On: Origins on Netflix btw~~), Toshio is a little boy ghost. Kayako is his mom. They even have an instagram page: kayakowithtoshio. Check it out!}

Xu RenDong said: “Then stop talking nonsense, hurry up and find the video tape.”

Everyone then reacted and spread out on the first floor to search. Sure enough, just as according to the setting in Lian Qiao’s story, they soon found a black videotape in the TV cabinet. There just happened to be an old-fashioned video player under the TV. Lian Qiao put the videotape in and saw a black screen on the TV screen, reflecting the faces of everyone with a myriad of different expressions.

Suddenly, the lights in the living room went out. At the same time the TV became a snow screen and made a rustling noise. Everyone tacitly hid behind the sofa together. After all, Sadako might climb out of the TV any moment and no one wanted to be attacked by the female ghost.

However, after waiting for a while, there was still only static on the screen and that annoying noise.

Lian Qiao was leaning against the back of the sofa, frowning. He said, “Why isn’t Sadako out yet, is she acting like a big shot?”

Before he finished speaking, there was the sound of glass marbles rolling suddenly down the stairs. Immediately afterwards, there was the sound of footsteps on the ceiling, the sound of a child running barefoot while chasing the glass beads. The dim light from the TV flickered on everyone’s faces, illuminating their pale and frightened expressions.

Lian Qiao suddenly tightened his body: “Ah!”

The cry sounded like a screaming chicken that was strangled by the neck. Xu RenDong turned his head and asked, “What’s wrong?”

Lian Qiao tried hard to keep his voice calm: “Something… rolled against my feet.”

The light was too dim, and Xu RenDong couldn’t see the situation on his side: “Is it a glass marble?”

“The size doesn’t seem right… …” He took a few deep breaths but his teeth were still chattering: “I feel like it’s a human head… Toshio’s head.”

“Oh.” Xu RenDong was a little disappointed, “If it’s not Kayako, then kick it away.”

Lian Qiao: “…”

Everyone: “…”

Lian Qiao said: “I kicked it away .”

RenDong said: “Keep waiting for his mom.”

Lian Qiao: “Okay.”

Everyone: “…”

Kayako’s threat was getting closer and closer but Sadako was slow to appear. The faces of everyone illuminated by the TV gradually showed anxiety. Xu RenDong was quite calm and even took out his mobile phone and started reading e-books. The backlight of the mobile phone illuminated his face with its delicate facial features and focused expression. It didn’t look like he was about to go into battle at all.

Zhong Xiu on the left suddenly chuckled: “Aren’t you afraid?”

Xu RenDong said: “It’s useless to be afraid, what will come will always come.”

Zhong Xiu sighed: “You are only so young, how can you look down on life and death?”

Xu RenDong said, “I’m not looking down on life and death, I’m just used to it.”

He was just used to dying. It sounds a bit miserable but, in fact, it’s really just like getting used to it.

Zhong Xiu seemed to have heard something from these words. She turned her head and glanced at him in surprise. Xu RenDong didn’t want to talk about this topic again so he said casually: “Don’t worry, we can definitely get out alive.”

Zhong Xiu smiled faintly, looking at him with a complicated look in his eyes. She moved her lips and whispered something.

“What?” Xu RenDong didn’t hear clearly and leaned in subconsciously but his neck suddenly tightened – Lian Qiao was pulling him back by his tie.

“Do you think I don’t exist?” Lian Qiao narrowed her eyes, looking very unhappy.

Xu RenDong coughed and said displeasedly, “What are you doing—” Before he finished speaking, Lian Qiao pressed the back of Xu RenDong’s head and pressed him against himself.

A hot breath quickly approached and a manic possessiveness swept over. Xu RenDong’s pupils shrank suddenly and he instantly remembered the painful experience after being forcibly kissed last time. He raised his hand to cover his mouth in a conditioned reflex and so Lian Qiao kissed the back of his hand.

Lian Qiao: “…”

The forced kiss was predicted! It was also defended! So embarrassing!

Xu RenDong frowned: “Calm down, there are ghosts about.”

Lian Qiao turned his head stiffly, his heart full of ashes.

But then he heard Xu RenDong say helplessly and indulgently: “Is it alright to just kiss for a minute this time?”

Lian Qiao was stunned and turned around in surprise. He suddenly felt warmth approaching. The warm and dry fingertips rubbed the corner of his mouth a few times, as if searching for a suitable position and finally stopped on his lips.

Xu RenDong turned his face over, took aim, and then seriously put a kiss onto Lian Qiao’s lips.

Lian Qiao’s eyes widened. He didn’t expect that Xu RenDong prevented his forced kiss with one hand but actually returned it with the other. And this kiss… how should I put it… it’s short and green, so innocent yet so vivid… why is it…

So cute….

Lian Qiao’s lips curled into a smile. He gradually became short of breath and said in a low voice, “It’s bad.”

Xu RenDong: “What’s wrong?”

Lian Qiao gasped, “I’m having thoughts.”

Xu RenDong: “…” He blushed to the tips of his ears and said angrily, “Calm down!”

Lian Qiao was suffocating and gasping even harder. His eyes twinkled and he looked at Xu RenDong and said with a low smile: “Why are you so bad? Telling me to calm down, what are you doing with your hands?”

Xu RenDong was stunned: “What am I doing?”

Lian Qiao’s eyes were dark and he said dumbly: “Your hands are so cold…”

Xu RenDong: “…” He silently raised his hands to prove his innocence.

Lian Qiao’s face changed instantly. Looking down, a pale white woman covered in blood was lying on his lap. She raised her head and opened her mouth with a sinister smile.

“Giggle giggle giggle…”

Lian Qiao: “…Fuck!” Anger suddenly exploded and he kicked Kayako who was on his leg, and scolded, “I was almost scared into impotence by you!

Kayako was kicked off the sofa and fell down with a clatter, like a lump of boneless rotten meat, lying softly on the ground. When had this female ghost ever suffered from this type of grievance before? Lying on the ground she raised a head full of blood and  stared at Lian Qiao with resentment. It was supposed to be an extremely terrifying picture but it was a little funny because of the shoe print on her pale face.

Lian Qiao was still a little scared when he thought about it and hid behind Xu RenDong, instantly transforming into a coward: “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have kicked you in the face, now you’re mutilated.”

Kayako was even more furious when she heard this and opened her mouth. With her mouth wide open, she quickly crawled towards Lian Qiao. She was like a high paraplegic patient. Her entire lower body was lying on the ground softly and she only supported her upper body with two arms, but she crawled at a speed that violated the laws of physics. In an instant, she climbed to Lian Qiao’s feet and grabbed Lian Qiao as fast as lightning!

Everyone was stunned by this sight and Lian Qiao was so frightened that he was trembling and stunned. Xu RenDong was really convinced by Lian Qiao’s ability to provoke a boss. He reached out and dragged Lian Qiao to his side and, at the same time, he stepped forward and aimed another kick at Kayako’s face.

Kayako was kicked in the head again but this time she was not kicked away. After being humiliated twice in a row, Kayaoko’s anger has accumulated to its peak. She turned her head back bit by bit stiffly,and the “cluck, cluck” sound in her throat became more and more manic. Her two eyes were as dark as an abyss and there were even blood and tears from the corners of her eyes.

“What are you doing? Run!” Xu RenDong gave an order, grabbing Zhong Xiu with his left hand and Lian Qiao with his right hand. He then ran away.

Everyone screamed in panic: “Where are you going?!”

Xu RenDong said: “I’m buying time!” He rushed to the edge of the elevator and pressed the button desperately. However, the elevator door still did not open. It seemed that they could only enter the elevator when Sadako came out.

There was a sudden scream from behind him. Xu RenDong turned back and saw that Kayako was lying on someone’s back and her pale arms were wrapped around the person’s shoulders but the person’s neck had been twisted off. However, at this time, that person was not completely dead. A pair of bloodshot eyes opened and they were controlled by Kayako, and walked towards them with a twist in their step.

This picture was extremely terrifying. A young man with a crooked neck was still coughing up blood from his throat but, behind him, was a pale female ghost. His painful and hopeless face gradually enveloped a layer of black air and, gradually, the pained expression turned into resentment. His eyes turned into black holes like Kayako’s and when he rolled his eyes, he stared at Xu RenDong stubbornly.

Both Xu RenDong and Lian Qiao searched for weapons subconsciously. Zhong Xiu took the lead. She picked up a floor lamp and smashed it on the man’s head without hesitation. The man was smashed backwards and, when he fell to the ground, Kayako behind him suddenly disappeared. The black qi that shrouded the victim’s face also disappeared. He became bloodless, his eyes rolled back, and he was obviously dead.

Everyone’s heart froze and they all instinctively stepped back. Suddenly, a girl screamed: “Help – ah!!”

Everyone looked at her and saw two white arms seeping out from the wall behind her, one hooked her waist and the other covering her waist. It held her mouth so that she couldn’t even let out a scream. The girl shook her head and struggled desperately, kicking her hands and feet but the arms behind her were clasping her tightly like iron tongs, dragging her into the wall. The dark green wall has become like a swamp, and half of her body has been integrated into the wall and she was about to sink in completely.

“Mmmmmph! Mmmm!” The girl burst into tears, calling for help vaguely in her mouth. Everyone could clearly see that Kayako stuck out her head from on top of her and her long black hair hung down, covering the girl’s face. Kayako’s white eyes stared at everyone resentfully, threatening everyone silently.

At this moment, no one dared to lend a helping hand. But then there was a loud yell and then Rock Monk rushed up, grabbed the girl’s arm and threw the rosary on Kayako’s head.

It’s a pity that the rosary didn’t have any effect on Kayako but only angered her more. Kayako screamed and grabbed Rock Monk abruptly. Just when the pale fingers touched the monk, Xu RenDong shouted, “Let go!” At the same time, he tightened the monk’s collar and pulled him to his side.

Rock Monk loosened his hand and was dragged behind by Xu RenDong. The girl was also dragged into the wall by Kayako within an instant. A moment later, the screams disappeared. There was nothing on the dark green wallpaper and such a big living person disappeared like she had never existed.

The living room fell into a suffocating silence. Everyone looked at each other in dismay, not knowing where Kayako would appear from the next second. The rustling sound of static was still emitting from the TV and the flickering light shone on everyone’s faces. Everyone’s faces were extremely ugly.

Suddenly, Lian Qiao’s face was filled with joy. He pointed at the elevator and said, “Sadako is coming out!”

Everyone looked at the elevator in unison. Sure enough, there was a gap in the middle of the elevator door. Five withered fingers stretched out from inside and opened the elevator door bit by bit.

Everyone was ecstatic, the elevator finally opened, which meant they were only one step away from escaping! Everyone didn’t dare to act rashly, watching as the gap got bigger and bigger and a barefoot woman in a long white dress gradually appeared behind the door. The woman lowered her head and her waterfall-like long hair completely covered her face. No facial expression could be seen.

President A cheered: “It’s really Sadako!” {I think the author really can’t remember/differentiate between who is the President and who is A, B and C lol.}

Immediately afterwards, he made a move that surprised everyone – he actually rushed up and helped Sadako to open the door.

Sadako in the elevator: “…” Is there something wrong with this person’s brain?

The elevator door was quickly forcibly opened and Sadako in a white dress lowered her head but stood in the elevator and didn’t come out. President A couldn’t wait any longer, he stretched out his hand and dragged: “Come out quickly!”

Everyone: “…” Have you forgotten that she is also a ghost!

Sure enough, the moment President A touched Sadako’s arm, Sadako suddenly raised her head. One eye suddenly appeared in the long black hair and there was only a little black eye in the large white eye. The eyeballs turned strangely and happened to meet President A. President A’s eyes widened suddenly and the muscles on his face spasmed. He grabbed his neck hard and a hard gasping sound came out of his throat.

Sadako stopped looking at him, lowered her head again, and walked out of the elevator slowly with her long hair hanging down. As President A grabbed his neck with both hands, his eyes and tongue began to bulge out. He quickly rolled his eyes and then fell heavily to the ground with a thud.

He actually strangled himself to death!

The crowd was horrified. Kayako was already terrifying enough and Sadako can kill people by just glancing at them! Everyone’s legs became weak and they fell to the ground. The cowardly had already urinated and cried out, “I can’t take it anymore! Help! Who will help me!”

The man’s cry attracted Sadako’s attention. Sadako turned her head slightly and walked towards the man slowly. The man screamed and crawled back, accidentally bumped into the TV cabinet and finally broke down, covering his face and crying.

Suddenly, Sadako seemed to notice something, and suddenly rushed in front of the man, her long black hair almost covering his face. The man gasped and, before he had time to react, a pair of pale arms suddenly came from deep inside the TV cabinet, pulling him by the collar and dragging him inside!

They saw that the man’s neck was being strangled and he was almost breathless. Sadako almost pressed her face to his face and her black hair twisted into his mouth and ears as if it were alive. The man grabbed his collar with one hand and tried desperately to pull Sadako’s hair out of his mouth with the other. Two female ghosts were rushing to kill him and he was caught in the middle, unable to advance or retreat, so he could only die in despair.

Everyone’s heart froze – let’s start! Sadako vs. Kayako! This is the best time to escape!

Amid the whimpering of the poor bastard who was competed by the female ghost, everyone rushed towards the elevator. Lian Qiao ran the fastest but, just as he ran to the edge of the elevator, Sadako had already put down the poor bastard and rushed towards the elevator!

Sadako had already sensed their intentions and flew towards everyone. Even if they had time to run into the elevator, they wouldn’t have time to close the door! Sadako would enter the elevator with them!

Xu RenDong made a decisive decision and pushed Lian Qiao into the elevator: “You go first!” At the same time, he grabbed the floor lamp in Zhong Xiu’s hand and slammed it at Sadako!

Between the light and flint, the lamp hit Sadako, blocking Sadako’s offensive a little. Seeing that this move was effective, Xu RenDong was about to continue the attack but heard Zhong Xiu screaming from behind him.

At the same time, the elevator made a heavy roar.

Bang dang!

Xu RenDong’s heart jumped and he turned his head in disbelief. His heart instantly clenched.

The elevator doors were closed.

Half of Lian Qiao’s body was still outside but the elevator door had slammed shut tightly.

Half of Lian Qiao’s body slowly slid down the door and a lot of blood spurted out like a broken faucet. The entire elevator door was sprayed with blood, turning it into a sticky bloody door. Half of Lian Qiao’s body finally slipped to the ground and fell into a pool of his own blood. The muscles of his legs were still spasming and the intestines flowed out from the cut in his waist.

Xu RenDong’s pupils shrank suddenly and his brain went blank for a moment. He felt the blood all over his body being drained all at once, his ears were buzzing, his eyes were black and he couldn’t see anything clearly.

He only saw Lian Qiao who was cut in half.

Suddenly there was a sharp pain from his wrist. Xu RenDong lowered his head blankly and saw the black hair wrapped around his arm. Not only that, his chest and waist were all densely packed with hair. Sadako smiled darkly behind his ears, her black hair slid up her skin, got into his nose and mouth, blocked his breathing and stabbed his internal organs.

Soon, his eyes were also covered by black hair. A second before he lost consciousness, he saw Zhong Xiu crying and running towards him. Then he was suffocated and was dragged into the darkness by Kayako mercilessly.

Everything was over again.
