Chen Yuncheng woke up very early in the morning, he packed his things for the last time, carried the suitcases to the living room, ate breakfast and washed the dishes by himself, and waited for Ning Junyan to come back.
He knew that the conversation with Ning Junyan today would not be so smooth, but he had no intention of leaving quietly, without even leaving a word of explanation to Ning Junyan.
This morning, however, Ning Junyan came back from work a little later than usual.
Chen Yuncheng heard the sound of the key opening the door, glanced at the suitcase he had placed at the door and stood up nervously.
The key turned twice in the door before the door slowly opened. Ning Junyan came back from the outside wearing a dark long trench coat and carrying a toolbox.
After he entered, he stood at the door to change his shoes, and he only needed to look up to see Chen Yuncheng’s suitcase, but he didn’t seem to see it.
When he had finished changing his shoes, Ning Junyan walked in with the toolbox and saw Chen Yuncheng standing next to the sofa.
Chen Yuncheng called him, “Junyan.”
Ning Junyan casually put down the toolbox against the wall, walked up to Chen Yuncheng, put an arm around him, kissed him on the cheek, and asked, “Have you had breakfast yet?”
Chen Yuncheng could feel the cool air from outside still on Ning Junyan’s body, but the kiss was warm, and he replied, “I’ve eaten.” Then he asked, “What about you?”
“Ate in the hospital.”
Ning Junyan turned around and went back to pick up the toolbox to walk into the room.
Chen Yuncheng held him back, “I have something to tell you.”
Ning Junyan stopped and turned back to look at him, “What’s wrong?”
Chen Yuncheng took a deep breath and said, “I’ve decided to move out.” After he finished speaking, he kept looking at Ning Junyan’s face, worried that Ning Junyan would be angry.
In the end, Ning Junyan acted calmly and asked him, “Where are you going to move?”
Chen Yuncheng said, “I plan to rent an apartement for a few days first, and then when the new shop at the trade market opens, I’ll go over and live there..”
Ning Junyan shook his head, “No.” His tone was too flat, like a father rejecting his spoiled son.
Chen Yuncheng knew he wouldn’t come to a conclusion today without being a little more resolute, he said, “I’m not discussing it with you, I have already made a decision.”
Ning Junyan put down the toolbox, held his hand, and said, “Then what if I still disagree?”
Chen Yuncheng lowered his head and said uncomfortably, “I’m sorry.”
Ning Junyan held his hand and did not let go, his brows slightly furrowed, as if he was in some distress.
Chen Yuncheng saw that he had been silent, and said, “Even if we don’t live together, it doesn’t mean that our relationship has changed. We are both in the same city, and we can meet often. It’s just that if we keep our distance, both me and you can calm down and take a good look at the relationship.”
Ning Junyan still held his hand without letting go, as if he was not listening to him at all.
Chen Yuncheng felt that he had already made what he had to say very clear. If he compromised because of Ning Junyan’s attitude now, he might not be able to get out of this door, so he tried to break away from Ning Junyan’s hand.
“I put the key on the bedside table in the room, so take care of it.”
Just when Chen Yuncheng had almost pulled out his hand, Ning Junyan suddenly grabbed his wrist forcefully, this time with more force than just now, and Chen Yuncheng found that he didn’t even have room to twist his wrist.
Ning Junyan said, “Let’s talk.”
It was good that he was willing to talk to him, so Chen Yuncheng stopped struggling and looked at him, “You talk.”
Ning Junyan asked him, “Do you think this is too far away from where you will work in the future?”
Chen Yuncheng said, “It’s just one reason.”
Ning Junyan said, “Then let’s buy a house near the commercial market, do you think it’s good?”
Chen Yuncheng couldn’t help but want to sigh, “No, this is not the way to solve the problem.”
“Is leaving me the solution to the problem?” Ning Junyan asked him, his pair of black eyes looked calm, but his tone seemed to carry aggravation.
Chen Yuncheng said, “Isn’t it okay to separate temporarily? It’s like I used to live in the kiosk, you can come over often. Originally, I was also staying temporarily, so it doesn’t make sense to come in and never leave.”
Ning Junyan said, “I don’t want you to go.”
“Calm down and think about it, not only now, but also in the future, there are many things you shouldn’t do in a hotheaded and reckless manner.”
“You don’t want me anymore.”
Chen Yuncheng suddenly stopped what he wanted to say.
Ning Junyan repeated again very softly, “You don’t want me anymore. Just like that time, when I was clearly holding you, but you still wanted to push me away.”
Chen Yuncheng knew that he was referring to the time when they separated sixteen years ago. Although he was two years younger than Ning Junyan, he always felt that he had the responsibility to take care of Ning Junyan like an older brother. He didn’t want to push Ning Junyan away, but what could he do? Let Ning Junyan go to the welfare school with him, and then go out to work at a young age? At that time, the sadness and grievance in his heart were probably no less than that of Ning Junyan, but he was still willing to take responsibility. He said to Ning Junyan, “I’m sorry, it’s because I’m not capable.”
He was not capable enough. He watched as they take Ning Junyan away, as Guan Anlin was arrested and put in jail, and as Zhou Yan walked into the police station to surrender. He too was not too willing, but in the end, he was powerless.
Ning Junyan said to him, “It doesn’t matter, as long as I don’t let go.”
Chen Yuncheng wanted to say that was not the case, but before he could speak, Ning Junyan suddenly grabbed his wrist and pulled him into the room.
“What are you doing?” Chen Yuncheng was suddenly a little alarmed. Ning Junyan’s strength was too great. He had never been able to win a physical battle against him. At this time he tried hard to stand still and stop, but he still couldn’t help being pulled forward by Ning Junyan.
Ning Junyan kept pulling him into the bedroom, frowned and whispered, “The things I ordered haven’t arrived yet.”
Chen Yuncheng said, “Let me go!”
Ning Junyan pushed Chen Yuncheng down onto the large bed in the bedroom, rolled him over and told him to lie on his stomach, bent one leg over the back of his waist, pulled his hands over his head, and in a sharp move, pulled off his own belt and tied Chen Yuncheng’s hands and wrists.
Chen Yuncheng was angry and anxious, and shouted loudly, “Ning Junyan, are you crazy?”
Ning Junyan lowered his head and kissed the back of Chen Yun Cheng’s neck and the side of his ear, “Don’t be afraid.” He then straightened up, still holding Chen Yuncheng down with his knees, took off his long coat and throw it away, and pulled up the sleeves of his shirt inside, revealing a slender arms with visible pale blue veins.
Then he reached under Chen Yuncheng’s body, unbuttoned and zippered Chen Yuncheng’s jeans, his slender fingers held the edge of the trousers and pulled the trousers and underpants together.
During this process, Chen Yuncheng was struggling all the time. He tried to kick Ning Junyan with his legs, but Ning Junyan stood beside him and avoided it. After he took off Chen Yuncheng’s pants, he pulled Chen Yuncheng up from the bed and walked towards the bathroom.
Chen Yuncheng staggered along pulled by him, and said angrily, “Ning Junyan, are you crazy?”
Ning Junyan didn’t say anything as he pulled Chen Yuncheng into the bathroom and put him into the bathtub with his arms around his waist.
Chen Yuncheng raised his leg and kicked Ning Junyan’s hip hard, but his own foot slipped and he fell backwards.
However, Ning Junyan’s body just swayed, then he hugged Chen Yuncheng and said, “Be careful.” After he said that, Ning Junyan used Chen Yuncheng’s jeans to wrap around the strap on his wrist and tied him to the bathtub hose.
Chen Yuncheng was furious and tried to untie the knot that Ning Junyan had tied with his hands, but both hands were tied so tightly that it was difficult to move his fingers.
Ning Junyan then turned away and walked towards the outside of the room.
Chen Yuncheng did not speak and concentrated on trying to untie his tied hands.
The heating in the room had obviously been turned up, and Ning Junyan came in from outside with his toolbox and placed it directly on the bed.
Chen Yuncheng panted and looked out from the bathroom door to see Ning Junyan take out a long metal chain from inside, and then took out an electric drill. He stood by the bed, compared the diameters of the drill bit and the expansion screw, then stare at the wall at the head of the bed and choose where to drill the hole.
“Ning Junyan, are you crazy enough?” Chen Yuncheng shouted, “Are you trying to lock me up here? How long can you keep me locked up?”
Ning Junyan didn’t reply, plugged in the electric drill, turned on the switch, and soon the room was filled with the loud noise of the drill drilling holes.
Chen Yuncheng’s voice was also drowned out by the noise, and in a somewhat exhausted trance, he waited for the sound of the electric drill to stop and added, “Can you lock me up for the rest of my life? My friends will be looking for me and they’ll call the police! Too many people know I live with you, when the police will come, your own future will be ruined, and I will never want to see you!”
Ning Junyan had originally stuffed the expansion screw into the hole and was about to tap it tightly with a hammer in his hand, but he stopped when he heard Chen Yuncheng’s last words, and turned his head to look at Chen Yuncheng.
Chen Yuncheng knelt down in the bathtub with bare legs, and his eyes were red, “Is this how you wanted to treat me? You? You want me to hate you for the rest of my life?”
Ning Junyan was not really stupid, he could naturally think of anything Chen Yuncheng could think of. No place was safe, nor he could not make Chen Yuncheng disappear and not let others go looking for him, and the hardest part was that he could not make Chen Yuncheng not hate him for it.
When he saw Ning Junyan stop, Chen Yuncheng’s voice became softer, but his voice was already hoarse as he said, “Let me go. Yanyan, come here and let me go.”
With the hammer squeezed in his hand, Ning Jun Yan looked at him quietly, and after a while, walked towards the bathroom.
He walked into the bathroom and did not rush to let go of Chen Yuncheng, but sat down cross-legged on the floor as he asked Chen Yuncheng, “Can you not leave?”
Chen Yuncheng  could have given in and temporarily coaxed Ning Junyan for a while, but what happened today instead made him even more determined in his original thoughts, and he said, “I want to go.”
The hammer in Ning Junyan’s hand rolled to the ground, he raised his hands to squeeze the edge of the bathtub, and looked at Chen Yuncheng, “Then I’ll tie you up, and you won’t be able to leave this room from now on.”
Chen Yuncheng said, “Then if you must tie me up for the rest of your life and don’t let me leave, and you must also be optimistic about me not to let me die, otherwise I will never see you again in the future.”
Ning Junyan’s expression was always indifferent, but his eyes gradually turned red, “You really don’t want me anymore?”
Chen Yuncheng said, “If you don’t let me go today, I won’t want you.”
Ning Junyan’s gaze turned to Chen Yuncheng’s tied hands.
