Sanders did not choose to merge the powers, indeed considering what Angel had thought, as he did not hope to cause any unnecessary misunderstandings.
But at the same time, he was also not prepared to accept the power just yet; his understanding of the Wilderness of Dreams was still quite superficial, and he needed a thorough evaluation to make a further choice.
Therefore, he did not rush into a decision.
After Sanders left, Angel concealed the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain once again and also returned to reality.
Before long, Angel and Sanders sat opposite each other in the main fortressâs hall.
Angel had his eyes closed, silently constructing the Gate Model within his Mind Space, while Sanders lowered his head, recalling the Observations of Dream Wilderness.
Sunshine filtered through the windows, making the dust and light visible to the naked eye, creating a quiet and peaceful atmosphere in the hall.
When Lyon arrived at the entrance to the hall, this was the scene he observed.
He walked in carefully, taking a seat on the edge of the long table, careful not to disturb the current peaceful atmosphere.
However, dressed in armor, no matter how cautious, he still made a clinking metal noise when he took a seat. Clutching his face in annoyance, Lyon looked back to find that he had indeed disturbed Angel, who was now looking over in his direction.
âWere you in meditation? I didnât mean to interrupt. Maybe I should get out now?â Lyon hesitated for a moment before speaking.
Angel smiled, âNo need, I was just thinking about something. Speaking of which, there are some matters for which I was about to look for you.â
After a while, Lyon was flipping curiously through a scroll of parchment he had received from Angel.
The parchment was somewhat worn, with faintly protruding patterns and it was full of text.
âStar Frost Meditation Method?â Confusion flashed in Lyonâs eyes: âIs this a meditation method from the Barbarian Cave?â
Before Angel could reply, a cold, metallic sound echoed through the air: âIf it were a method from the Barbarian Cave, Angel probably wouldnât dare to present it to you in front of Lord Illusion Demon.â
With the sound, a door opened out of thin air.
Suise, with his striking red hair, stepped out of the door.
He glanced at the parchment in Lyonâs hand, and although it was just a quick look from a distance, his brow furrowed: âThe Star Frost Meditation Method, it wouldnât happen to be the one I am thinking of, would it?â
Suise looked at Sanders, seeking confirmation with his eyes.
âIs there a second Star Frost Meditation Method in the Southern Domain?â Sanders spoke calmly.
Suiseâs pupils shrank, and he turned to look at Angel: âIs it really the Guiding Method from the Frostmoon Alliance? How do you possess it?â
Angel: âI obtained it unintentionally, and at present, no one apart from those present knows of it. So, as long as we donât make a big announcement, there will be no questions asked.â
Suise glanced at Angel and looked at Sanders. Seeing that they both appeared entirely at ease, he eventually suppressed his doubts without further questions. If it was as Angel said and the people from Frostmoon wouldnât inquire, then this Guiding Method was indeed a rare opportunity for Lyon.
Suise gazed deeply at Lyon, inwardly sighing; during his own apprenticeship, he had learned only the most common Guiding Method, and here was this lucky fellow.
Lyon at this moment was still somewhat bewildered, not realizing just how precious the scroll he held was in the Wizardsâ Realm of the Southern Domain; revealing even a hint of it would likely cause great commotion.
âPut it away, youâd better not show this to outsiders, or it might bring calamity,â Suise warned Lyon with a word, and said no more.
Suise had appeared, and by rights, they should have inquired about the final outcome, but no one broke the silence because the door that had opened in the air had not yet closed.
Five minutes later, White Bear Hobson walked through the door with an excited expression on his face.
Only then did Suise close the door to the Exile Space.
White Bear took a seat next to Angel, and even without saying a word, those present could discern the complex emotions in White Bearâs heart; though there was a hint of dejection, the predominant emotion was one of exultation and hope.
Angel was the first to speak up, âIt seems the result wasnât bad?â
White Bear did not reply with words, but took out a little bottle from his pocket. The bottle was transparent, containing a smear of blood that was faintly dark.
Angel immediately recognized it as the blood trace of its true owner, which he had helped Eulica trace back from the âBlood Origin Retracementâ of the Crimson Authority.
Considering White Bear had successfully acquired this bottle, Dororoâs Prophecy was not mistaken; White Bear indeed became a key figure in countering Eulica.
As he said this, Suise looked at White Bear with a complicated expression.
From the events that occurred previously in the Exile Space, it was not hard to see that Eulicaâs emotions for White Bear were clearly deeper than her own, or else she would not have exhibited such a violent reaction immediately upon White Bearâs arrival.
Suise didnât know whether to cry or laugh, it was a relief that Eulica retained her lucid thoughts, but as her lover, it was somewhat discomfiting for Suise that he held a lesser place in her heart compared to a family member she hadnât seen in twenty years.
âAfter Eulica struggled mentally for a while, her clear thinking prevailed and she woke up.â Having said this, Suise looked towards White Bear.
After Eulica awoke, she asked Suise to leave and spoke alone with White Bear for several minutes.
Ultimately, the bottle of blood was also handed over to White Bear by Eulica.
Although they were in their own Exile Space, Suise could still perceive the content of their conversation, but it seemed more appropriate to let White Bear speak for himself regarding what was discussed later on.
The agitation in White Bearâs heart had gradually calmed down, and he organized his words before he slowly began, âEulica is my sisterâŚâ
White Bear didnât elaborate much on Eulicaâs background and seemed to prefer not to discuss it further. He simply mentioned that the White Bear plush toy he had given Angel was actually sewn by Eulica herself.
Later, due to some upheavals, Eulica had to leave the Gumman Kingdom, and by the time she returned, White Bearâs auntâs family had already encountered a major misfortune, and White Bear had left for distant lands to come to Barbarian Cave.
White Bear stopped there without going into why Eulica left or what she did afterward in the Gumman Kingdom; instead, he directly jumped to the reason behind Eulicaâs madness.
âWhy did she become frantic? Eulica herself isnât sure about the specifics, but as previously guessed, the true instigator of everything was indeed the Crimson Authority,â paused White Bear. âHalf a month ago, the Crimson Authority activated on its own and targeted Eulica. Caught off guard, Eulica was involuntarily affected, leading to a series of later events.â
The words of White Bear aligned with their speculations, but there was one point worthy of their contemplationâ
âCan she be certain that the Crimson Authority activated on its own?â Angel asked.
White Bear nodded: âYes, it not only activated on its own, but later the Crimson Authority also underwent flesh and blood fusion autonomously.â
The crowd exchanged glances. If this was true, then there really might be someone secretly controlling the Crimson Authority!
With this thought, they turned their gaze to the bottle on the table containing the blood of the master of the Crimson Authority.
âI was puzzled why King Gumman made no grand moves when the Crimson Authority was stolen, merely sending me to investigate; now it appears he had a contingency plan,â Suiseâs eyes held a trace of resentment. âThat person must be nearby, or else they couldnât manipulate the Crimson Authority so precisely!â
Suise couldnât wait to pick up the bottle to sense it.
âI can feel a strong connection through blood ties. Our previous speculation was not wrong; that person must be on the Old Earth Continent!â
Sanders also took the bottle to sense it and nodded, confirming Suiseâs judgment.
It seemed, indeed, all the calamity stemmed from the person lurking in the shadows.
But knowing of this person and actually finding them were not so simple. Just as Angel had deduced the owner of the blood from âBlood Origin Backtracking,â Suise was still unable to pinpoint the bloodâs owner because searching for someone based on a single drop of blood was not easy, at least not for wizards outside of the Divination line.
To pinpoint the other partyâs location with accuracy, they would need to rely on the abilities of a Prophet Wizard.
Considering this, everyoneâs gaze unconsciously fell on White Bear.
In the group, the only one with Divination lineage was White Bear.
White Bear seemed to understand the great responsibility he bore, and it also concerned his sister Eulica. After a moment of silence, he nodded, âLet me give it a try.â
The bottle went around and finally returned to White Bear.
He took out his wand, placed it lightly on the table, and began murmuring incantations⌠As a strange power emanated from White Bear, the wand promptly fell over.
White Bear was startled, then gathered his power again.
But time after time, the wand kept falling.
White Bearâs complexion turned increasingly ashen.
Without White Bear having to say it, reality laid bare eye; White Bearâs divination had failed.
âItâs okay, the Old Earth Continent isnât that large, a step-by-step search shouldnât take too much time,â Suise consoled.
Yet White Bear, with a troubled expression, took the bottle back and continued with the Divination without a word. This time, he did not use the wand but pressed the bottle against his forehead.
As the strange power dispersed, they could clearly see the sweat dripping from White Bear and his increasingly pale complexion.
Just as it seemed White Bear couldnât hold on any longer, he finally put down the bottle.
âI still havenât found that person, but I saw a boat.â
