Chapter 137 Howard’s Black Technology
With Natasha becoming the secretary, Leo’s daily routine didn’t alter much at all. He still spent most of his time in the lab while occasionally finding some troubles for Natasha in his office. All in all, some splashes of color were added to his life.
As for the matter of letting Bucky sell his body, Leo had found some time to talk about this with Bucky. Albeit, it faced vigorous rejection from Bucky. Bucky stated his relationship with Natasha was just purely a teacher-student relationship and asked Leo to stop coupling randomly.
In the end, before Leo’s chick could be hatched it was already killed in the nest.
No matter how Leo racked his brain to think of plans to deal with Natasha, time wasn’t waiting for anyone. Days went by as if a galloping house on grassland, a week passed by in a blink of an eye.
Seven days later, Fury didn’t renege from his words and requested Natasha to relay the black technology information that Howard left behind in S.H.I.E.L.D. Naturally, Leo wouldn’t go back against his words and completed his end of the deal as per agreed, giving Fury the remaining two-thirds of H.Y.D.R.A. 2.0’s name list.
Howard’s black technology was stored in a huge box. Leo eagerly moved the box to the lab, restlessly waiting to open it.
With its brand new spherical head, Steam saw Leo opening the box and revving over to watch. “Buzz! Master, how may Steam assist you?”
“It’s okay, go aside and play by yourself first.”
Leo possessed the ability to analyze the blueprints speedily and didn’t require to design a new project for now. So, Steam’s help was unneeded.
“Oh!” Steam spun his wheels and ran away.
Opening the box, he dumped out a large pile of blueprints and drawings, scattering them all over the floor. All of them still had the scent of ink from Fury’s copying. However, stuff like technology and knowledge, as long as it could be read and spread was enough. It didn’t matter whether it was an original copy or not.
He first categorized the blueprints and drawings before picking up the blueprints and swiftly browsing through them.

Placing these weapon blueprints aside, he continued searching through the blueprints before finally finding the large-scale Arc Reactor’s blueprint. Casting the analyzed Arc Reactor blueprint aside, he fumbled through the pile of blueprints once more. But after he finished looking through other blueprints, he didn’t discover any expected surprise. Even the videotape that Howard left for Tony wasn’t discovered.
It seemed like Fury hadn’t given every black technology Howard created to Leo, or maybe some of the stuff was still something the current Fury couldn’t come in contact with?!
Shaking his head, he stopped contemplating the so-called surprise. Having the Arc Reactor’s blueprint was more than enough for him. Besides, there were still a ton of weapon blueprints. Coupled with the ones he received from Dr. Zola, he figured he might as well become an arms dealer instead.
If it wasn’t for the fact that society was governed by the law and large-sized weapons were laborious to carry around, he wished to build an army of fully armed robots following him all over the place!
Looking at the piles of blueprints next to him, he began using Mechanical Analysis to analyze every piece of the blueprint.

Two hours later, every weapon blueprint was analyzed by Leo. He leafed through notebooks that Fury sent over, noticing all of the contents were theoretical knowledge, so he stopped reading them.
After placing all of the blueprints and drawings back into the box and tossing the box into the storeroom, he summoned Steam, “Steam, let’s get to work!”
“Buzz! Steam’s here!”
“New project, large-scale Arc Reactor. I’ll input the model’s parameters for you, so plan how to reconstruct the basement.” He inputted various data into the control panel.
“Buzz! Model simulated. Preliminary estimation requires us to dig three feet.”

Another busy day began

Busy times went by tantamount to fine grains of sand in an hourglass, flowing silently.
Three days passed in a blink of an eye. After, in El Building’s basement. Leo was overseeing the three feet deep and ten feet radius metal frame while secretly nodding. Arc Reactor’s early foundation was finally finished.
After laboring for three days and nights, he realized this certainly was one of his biggest projects ever. With a rough calculation, he needed to spend three months completing all construction works with tentacle arms alone. This speed was fast enough as the efficiency of a group of engineers might not even be victorious against his.
Although it seemed to be a long period, he wasn’t worried at all. As a Mechanic, possessing the virtue of patience was the core of his job. Ergo, work must be done slowly!
“Buzz! Master, an incoming call from Mr. Parker.” Steam’s voice sounded in his ear suddenly.
Its “mouth” and “ear” had covered the entire basement. Leo at Arc Reactor’s site could also communicate with Steam without a barrier.

It was Thursday and Leo had no important matters on hand, thus he readily agreed, “Sure, I’ll be there this weekend! Congratulations in advance on your marriage with Miss Jane.”
“Thanks.” Peter happily said, “The party is at the Roman Rose Hotel, Queens. I’ll see you then.”
After speaking, Peter hung up the call.
“I didn’t expect that. Peter and Mary Jane are going to get engaged soon. They probably will marry soon enough.” Leo silently grumbled as an inexplicable emotion surged in his heart.
