After a whole morning of tests, Tang Xi collapsed on the table. Her deskmate, Qi Sihui, dragged her to the cafeteria.
The cafeteria was crowded during lunchtime. Qi Sihui asked her to find somewhere to sit and went to get their lunch by herself. Soon, the petite girl returned, flexibly weaving through the crowd holding a tray in each hand.
Tang Xi quickly walked over and took a tray from her hand.
“We have glutinous rice chicken and green pepper beef tenderloin today. Good thing we came early.” Qi Sihui was in a good mood. She asked in a low voice after they sat down, “How did you do?”
“Not so good.” Tang Xi replied faintly. She pitifully poked a piece of beef with the tip of her chopsticks and continued, “My previous school has different progress than here. Chinese and English are still okay, but I would need at least 2/3 months to catch up with mathematics and physics.”
“It will be okay. There are still more than two months left for the mid-term exam.” Qi Sihui comforted her.
“Yeah!” Tang Xi nodded earnestly. She hastily finished her lunch. She wants to tackle another set of questions during lunch break. Physics and chemistry are her worst subjects. She felt hopeless when she thought about the tests she still had to answer in the afternoon. She could only clasp the Buddha’s feet temporarily.

“Hi, new beauty.” Two boys walked over and boldly sat down at their table.
This is the busiest time in the cafeteria. Of course, they couldn’t hog the four-person table and let the others eat on the floor or something, but… Who is this?
“We’re in the same class. My name is Shi Rui. He is Cheng Yihang. Let’s get to know each other?” The other boy said with a grin.
Tang Xi thought for a while, seemed to have some impression. She didn’t have time to meet her new classmates yet because of the monthly test this morning. She, however, remembered that Teacher Wu seemed to avoid this student called Shi Rui when he was choosing her seat this morning. Shi Rui looked like a bully, but this Cheng Yihang next to him looked like a kind, diligent student.
“Hello?” She responded with some hesitance.
Shi Rui pointed to the boy beside him, “Beauty, let me tell you, you can ask this guy if there’s anything you don’t understand; Yihang is number one in our class.”
“Thank you, but I already hired a tutor.” Tang Xi politely refused his suggestion.
Shi Rui didn’t mind at all, “Ah yes, I came over here to tell you, in order to get to know your classmates as soon as possible, why don’t we all go somewhere this weekend?”
Was this why he came over? Tang Xi thought with some amusement.
Cheng Yihang put down his chopsticks and shook his head, “Shi Rui, that’s inappropriate.”
Shi Rui raised an eyebrow, “Why? It wouldn’t be fun if we didn’t bring girls.”
Tang Xi was a little curious now, “Where are you guys going?”
