If I had a dollar for every time Noah says that he’s “not that kind of person”, I won’t need to be employed. 🙄🙄🙄\n

<hr class="wp-block-separator">\n<h1 class="has-text-align-center">‘Villager’ Noah Whitefield</h1>\nWell, Villager would just be a title, so my actual Job is still Monster Tamer.\nWith that said, I arrived at my new home guided by Alissa.\n
“It’s here. Currently, nobody uses it.”\n
“Is that so? It’s quite close to Alissa’s place I see.”\n
“Yeah. I’ve mentioned this before. About the warriors that went to defeat the Dragon…… This is where a married warrior couple had been living, but not anymore. Of course there are still several other vacant households.”\n
“I see……”\n
Well of course there’d be a surplus of houses if the warriors that left never came back.\nI did think there were too many houses for only children and elders to be living in. No matter how small their hidden village was, it didn’t mean that there’d be no more than a few dozen people living here after all.\nEven so, this was a splendid house.\nIt’s spacious enough to make me think that it’s a waste for me to have it to myself. Although, the ceiling is kinda low, so I don’t think Milo or the like would be able to enter.\nBut if it’s Gilancia, Chappie and Bow, they’d be able to get it no problem. Ah right, but Bow would be a watchdog, huh. I can get Milo to live outside, but I wonder what I should do with Pappie. Being unnecessarily huge, he’d end up using up all the space.\n
“Well, I guess I’ll go bring the monsters in. Since I’m also part of the village now, it would be fine to have my comrades stroll around the village too, right?”\n
“The people of the village have bore witness to Milo-dono and Gilancia-dono’s fighting figures. They believe that they’ve been protecting the village, so it should be alright.”\n</ins>\n\n“That really helps me out. What should I do with Pappie?”\n
“The Dragon would…… hmm. Some might be fearful at first, but I think they’d gradually grow accustomed to him.”\n
“Got it.”\n
Yosh, let’s head for the village entrance.\nI like to have them hunker down with a proper roof over their heads too. Well, monsters don’t seem to be in need of sleep, but still.\nAh, right. I just remembered.\n
“That’s right, Alissa.”\n</ins>\n\n“Mu…… What is it, Noah-dono?”\n
“You mentioned selling you to slavery for compensation, right?”\n
“Ah, yeah…… It’s alright. I have already resolved myself for it.”\n
“That’s not what I meant. That isn’t necessary anymore.”\n
“Eh……”\n
Well, I intended to refuse her from the very beginning anyway. I’m against slavery.\nBut either way, I think it’d make me feel bad at most if an Elf I barely knew got sold into slavery. But if the acquainted one was Alissa, I’d definitely be against it.\nFurthermore, if that’s for the sake of compensating me, then my conscience would take a huge hit.\n
“You know… because I’m already part of this village.”\n
“Even so……!”\n
“If I live here, then I don’t need money anymore, right? In that case, there’s no need to acquire money unnecessarily. Rather, it’d feel better to have a close friend live nearby alongside me.”\n
