<h1 class="has-text-align-center">Explosive Appearance of Monster Tamer Noah Whitefield</h1>\n \n
“Monster Tamer”«1» Noah Whitefield who had been reborn once again was in a very festive mood. It was a magnificent occasion!\n
However, in reality, he wasn’t feeling any different. The sensation of being reborn as something else wasn’t anything special.\n
In such cases, there’s nothing better to do than to verify it oneself.\n
“«Analyze»”\n
Following my murmurs, a translucent string of characters appeared before my eyes. Since I was originally a ‘Hero’, using Foundation Magic is my forte. Especially since «Analyze» is something that can’t be used by anyone but a ‘Mage’, it’s something really convenient. However, you can only use it on yourself and monsters, in addition to tools. Using it on other people as you please is forbidden, so better be careful. You know, since it’s a violation of privacy.\n
Anyways, this «Analyze» was aimed at myself.\n
Name: Noah Whitefield\nJob: Monster Tamer LV 1\nSkills:-\nSwordsmanship«2» LV 92\nTaijutsu«3» LV 88\nFoundation Magic«4» LV 43\nLightning Magic LV 45\nRecovery Magic«5» LV 26\nMonster Capture LV 1\nMonster Training LV 1\n
Fumu. There’s no mistaking that the ‘Job: Hero LV 92’ that existed a while ago had changed. However, all the experience I accumulated as a Hero had not disappeared. I can perfectly use Foundation Magic like «Analyze», but although I can’t use anything other than lightning attribute, offensive magic had remained too. My combat abilities were just the same as before.\n
And now, the new skills that appeared— are Monster Capture and Monster Training.\n</ins>\n\nThey were names that sounded very Monster Tamer-like, so I think perhaps they were just like that. However, I have no idea how to activate them. It doesn’t seem like I can do it the same way as regular magic.\n
I continued to «Analyze» deeper.\n
Monster Capture:-\nPut monsters under control once they’ve been rendered unable to battle. Once successful, the monster will be equipped with a subordination locket.\n
Monster Training:-\nThe ability to give orders to monsters that have been brought under control.\n
I see
this seems quite convenient. I wonder if it’s fine to assume there’s a fixed possibility of it turning into my companion. It’s a monster, and yet it’s my comrade
Ah, well. In other words, the stuff I can do hasn’t really changed all that much. I’ll just continue to advance defeating monsters. Rather, I bet it’s fine to think that the number monster comrades I get will automatically keep increasing.\n</ins>\n\n“Yosh, guess I’ll head home.”\n
Putting the Divine Job Tome back where it was, I left the same way I came. Rather than taking this back with me, let’s just leave it here. There might be others who’d need it as well.\n
It really was
a long journey. Although I came all the way here, it’s already been five years— I’m already twenty years old. I think it might be too late to enter the adventurer’s guild now. Would it be alright to just forget about registering in it? It’s not like I’d die. I’ve already sold whatever treasures that were lying around in various labyrinths and ruins and the like en masse, so there’s plenty of cash. Well, I can’t really call it abundant either.\n
I’ll be returning through the same two-week path again. \n
It’s unfortunate, but I don’t really have any other choice but to use the same route. You can’t leave immediately once you’ve reached your goal. There’s no other choice but to take the same time to return as diving into the labyrinth.\n
Although, just what should I do to get my level up?\n
Fundamentally, one can ascend levels by ‘conducting in accordance with what the job looks like’. For example, if a ‘Master Blacksmith’«6» makes swords, his level would increase according to the swords created. And for a ‘Hero’, it’s according to the monsters defeated. As for other jobs, I don’t know, unfortunately. \n
And if your job level doesn’t increase, then your skills will similarly not level up. That is to say, it’s fine to think that since it’s ‘Monster Tamer’ in my case, my job level will increase in accordance with the monsters I turn into my comrades.\n
Although, I have absolutely no idea what kind of criteria it follows. \n
“Oops!”\n</ins>\n\nWell, then.\n
This Lylcara Ruins is a labyrinth that was once the Demon King Lylcara’s dominion.\n
In the first place, I have my doubts on whether or not it was easy to commute back and forth this maze. Adding to that, if the Hero could enter all the way into this dungeon just to defeat the Demon King living here in solitude, then he must’ve really hated her! If she lay hidden so deep, then I don’t think she’d really be able to cause harm upon humans, though.\n
Well, since it was the Demon King’s dominion, the closer you get to the deepest part, the stronger the monsters around you get. Even I had a close call.\n
And so, in front of my eyes, appeared a pitch black wolf.\n
It’s a monster species named Night Wolf, but compared to the size of the normal ones this was in a completely different league. Called Night Lord Wolf, even though it stood on all its four limbs, its physical size was three times as large as mine.\n
Growling, it glared at me.\n
And just like that, it pounced at me.\n
“Ugaaaaaaaa!!”\n
“Whoopsie daisy.”\n</ins>\n\nAgainst such a wolf, I dodged sideways with all my strength.\n
For a large body, it’s movements were quite agile. I avoided it as it shot towards me like an arrow, and accordingly, got behind it and launched my attack.\n
By the way, although my Swordsmanship is level 92, my sword had broken on the way to the labyrinth. That’s why my body was my current weapon. \n
I struck the wolf’s back as hard as I could.\n
“Uraw!”\n</ins>\n\n“Guoooooooooooh!!” \n\n
Consequently, the sensation was transmitted to my hands.\n
My level 88 Taijutsu was not just for show. My fists had pretty much become lethal weapons, so the weight behind each attack can be imagined. I even have concrete proof that I can smash open a human’s head in one hit.\n
By the way, that opponent was a bandit. It was my style to have people who veered away from the sinless path to plundering to die as if it’s normal.\n
However, this fist of mine, had completely smashed the wolf’s spine. \n
It writhed and squirmed in pain. To have a monster that launched an attack at me get obviously hit back was also part of my style.\n
The wolf gradually slowed down and simply twitched abruptly. And then, it completely stopped moving and passed away just like that.\n
Monsters, who are made up of a substance called magicules«7», don’t even leave behind a corpse after they die. They just disperse into dust. If they did leave behind a corpse, then ‘weapons made from a monsters’ fangs’ and the like might have been widespread.\n
I stared at it for some time, but nothing really changed.\n
I did disable it from battle but the Monster Capture skill didn’t seem to activate.\n</ins>\n\nWell, it does have a fixed probability, so I guess it’s not going to activate that easily.\n
“Well then, guess I’ll leave.”\n
Letting out a light sigh, I continued on my way
holding on to expectations such as— I wonder how many comrades I’ll have by the time I leave the labyrinth!\n

TL Note: Okay, guys. I’ll be leaving some terminologies I look liberty in down here from now on. I plan on following these throughout the series unless some kind of context proves me otherwise.\n
«1»é”ç‰©äœżă„ (Mamonotsukai) «Monster Tamer» – literally Monster User. \n«2»ć‰ŁæŠ€ (Ken Waza) «Swordsmanship» – literally sword art/skill. \n«3»äœ“èĄ“ (Taijutsu) «Taijutsu» – hand to hand combat techniques. Ask Boruto’s dad for details. \n«4»ćŸșç€Žé”èĄ“ (Kiso Majutsu) «Foundation Magic» – or Basic Magic. Felt like some kind of magic that sets up the groundwork for every other magic, hence Foundation. \n«5»ć›žćŸ©é”èĄ“ (Kaifuku Majutsu) «Recovery Magic» – may also mean restoration depending on context. \n«6»鍛æȻ枫 (Kajishi) «Master Blacksmith» – Blacksmith Teacher/Mentor. \n«7»魔箠 (Maso) «Magicules» – literally magic element(ary particles) e.g. Tanso (炭箠) is Carbon. If you prefer, you could also read it as Mana, but I like this one, being a science geek.\n\nLike this:Like Loading...\n</ins>\n
