After their meal, everyone went their separate ways. The pregnant Lin Jiayu became sleepy whenever she ate, so Lu Xuechen naturally accompanied her back to her room.

As soon as they entered their room, Lin Jiayu immediately started shooing him away, “You can leave.”

However, Lu Xuechen sat on the edge of the bed and looked at her pitifully,”When will you stop using people?”

Lin Jiayu stood still and spread her hand to the side, gesturing for him to leave.

But, Lu Xuechen remained seated as he leaned back against the headboard, “Mrs. Lu, you need to complete your act.”

“Gangan already knows.” As for He Shigui and Jiang Qi, even if they knew that their relationship was fake, she was sure they would not reveal it to the public. Since they weren’t at the Lu Family Home, she didn’t want to continue with their act.

“Fang Zhihan and Yu Gangan knows, but the others don’t. We just got married not long ago, we can’t put down our guards so quickly. We need to complete this act.”

“What do you want?” Lin Jiayu asked coldly.

After they got married, this man seemed to have changed; he was clearly cold and uncaring before.

Not only did his style change, he even appeared as though he wanted to treat her son as his own. This was too strange.

“I don’t want anything,” Lu Xuechen spread his hands innocently. “I simply want to complete our act in case we make a mistake and cause a mess. If that happens, that would only hurt you.”

He patted the spot next to him, “Hurry and sleep. It’s not like we haven’t slept together before. I won’t do anything to you.”

But, Lin Jiayu turned around and walked outside, “Since you’re sleeping here, then I’ll sleep next door.”

This courtyard had plenty of rooms. If she couldn’t sleep here, then she could sleep in another one.

Lu Xuechen immediately jumped out of bed and grabbed on to Lin Jiayu’s hand.

Lin Jiayu shook her hand hard, loosening Lu Xuechen’s grip. But,she exerted too much force, lost balance, and fell to the side.

“Be careful.”

Lu Xuechen reached out and hugged her.

Lin Jiayu was stunned for a moment but quickly pushed Lu Xuechen away. After the woman’s touch disappeared from his hands, his heart was filled with an inexplicable sense of sadness.

Lu Xuechen’s eyes heated up as he looked at Lin Jiayu. He was like a wild wolf in dormancy, staring at a lamb that was on the edge of his lips.

Lin Jiayu noticed his gaze and felt a little uncomfortable, so she retreated a few steps.

She turned to the side and looked away, “Either you leave, or I leave.”

The woman’s snow-white skin was flushed with red, looking seductive and mesmerizing.

At that moment, Lu Xuechen’s dark eyes deepened, “Lin Jiayu, do you want to give it a try?”

Lin Jiayu: “…”

[Try what?]

Lu Xuechen shoved his hands in his pocket and slowly stepped forward, “Taking it for real.”

Lin Jiayu understood what he was referring to and declined without hesitation, “No.”
