âWell, I donât really care. If you donât want the young Prince, Lydith will be our favorite princess. Thatâs the deal. Now, letâs all celebrate together, Lydith. You can do the rest as you see fit. It is up to you whether you give the vessel of the goddess to the young Prince or take her home with you. We have nothing to do with it and have no interest in it.â
âAstarothâŠâ
I was about to tell him to put me down, but before I could, he covered my lips.
Astaroth, who kissed me lightly, licked his own lips with a flutter.
âYou donât have to be so reserved for the young prince anymore, do you, Lydith? Weâve been waiting for you for a long time.â
âYes, but now is not the time.â
âI donât care. The young prince is⊠Lucis is happy to have the vessel of the goddess. We are happy to have you. If only we had you, we wouldnât have to take the risk of communicating with other peopleâs countries, and it would all be fine. Weâll let King Evandia and his squire go home.â
âBut IâŠâ
âI know. You like the young Prince, Lydith-chan. But I donât care about Lydith-chanâs feelings⊠Because, soon, youâll cry and cling to us, begging for our love. â
âIâm looking forward to it, my toy,â
Astaroth said, giving me a licking look.
I felt a shiver run down my spine, though I did not know how serious he was.
I tried to escape from Astarothâs grasp, but he easily restrained me from my rampage and tried to return with Ria and the others from the audience Chamber to the back.
âGilbert-sama!â
Without being able to exchange a proper word, much less say goodbye, I wondered if this would be the end.
I extended my hand and call his name one last time.
Master Gilbert turned and looked at me. It was his usual golden eyes, and I could see that he was directing his fierce anger towards me. I wondered if he was angry that his encounter with Cynthia was interrupted.
I felt a surge of anger at the current situation. It is no wonder that Astaroth and his friends unintentionally love me so much that they want to get hold of me immediately, a fragile and dainty person who has cried like a child. Itâs only natural.
The problem is Gilbert-sama. I think itâs a little bit unjust that he would give in to the temptation of the vessel of the goddess so soon after whispering his love to me and being so rude to me.
âI hate cheaters! I hate you both, Gilbert-sama and Rafael-sama!â
This is the first time Iâve said that I dislike other people.
Judging others based on likes and dislikes is unbecoming of a person in a higher position. I have lived my life thinking it was foolish. I thought that since I am a merciful Virgin who gives love, there is no such thing as hating, even though I may return love
However, it is just ridiculous and infuriating that Gilbert-sama and Rafael-sama, were so captivated by Cynthia, who was just freaking out and frightened.
âYou fucking snake, donât you fucking touch Lydith!â
The low yell was the familiar one of Master Gilbert.
Astaroth stopped in his tracks, smiling wickedly.
Lydis, you too.. Youâre in no position to talk about cheating on a companion, when youâre the one whoâs loving on a fucking snake and a dark-skinned wolf!â
I donât know why, but I was scolded with the same force he used on Astaroth.
Rafael-sama also approached me and chastised me in a loud voice.
âI have never been unfaithful to you, and you show the same affection you show your brother and buttler to me, and it was Lydith who decided to marry the King of the demon tribe on her own accord! You are the unfaithful one!â
In sync with Gilbert-samaâs words, Rafael-sama got angry with me.
I was unwilling. I had done nothing wrong.
âBoth Gilbert-sama and Raphael-Sama seem to prefer someone like Anahoriyasde over there. I will stay with those who understand my value!â
âHow arrogant you are to taunt Cynthia, who agreed to come to the land of the demons for our country. You are as bad-natured as the rumors says you are.â
Orchis muttered in disgust.
It was kind of deva ju. Although the content was different, I felt like the same thing was said to me by Orchis in the past.
While being supported by Orchis, Cynthia was looking at us with a puzzled look on her face. She seemed to be at a loss as to what to do.
âLydith has no malice toward us, Orchis. Lydith loves all living things, and she used to dig up anahoriasdees out of the ground and play with them on her hands. But I wonder if what you just said is because of jealousy. perhaps you came to the land of the demon tribe because you got angry when you found out that I was protecting Cynthia?â
âI donât really care about this little girl who doesnât really understand whatâs going on. The only one I love is Lydith. I will never give her to a fucking snake, the dark wolf, or the black-hearted crown prince.â
âIâm not the crown prince anymore, Iâm the King. The prince of the demon tribe, who seems to have no character, does not deserve Lydith. How many years do you think Iâve waited to get Lydith? Donât get in my way.â
Before I knew it, Master Rafael-samaâs tone changed.
I stared blankly at them as they glared at each other and began to argue, while Astaroth held me up.
âTwo men were fighting over Lydith. Lydith is such a sinful, beautiful girl.â
âOh myâŠâ
Astaroth told me and I let out a small sigh.
The heart-freezing sorrow of being rejected by Gilbert-sama was presently gone.
