<hr class="wp-block-separator">\n<h1 class="has-text-align-center">Pappie’s Self Reflection</h1>\n“So you’re saying that… you were lonely because the children played along with the other monsters without paying any attention to you despite being a Dragon…”\n
“…… Umu.”\n
“That’s why… in order to get their attention and gather them up, you… thought of breathing a bit of… fire…”\n
“………… Umu.”\n
“And that fire ended up spreading to my house and… engulfed it completely in one go.”\n
“……………… Umu.”\n
“Do you have anything to say for yourself?”\n
“…………………… I’m sorry.”\n</ins>\n\nPappie knelt before me.\nWell, even though he is kneeling, he’s still thrice my size. Considering him in his entirety, he’s five times as large as me. Although he’s lowering his head down as much as he can with the locket dangling loosely on the ground, his torso is still quite above my line of sight.\nOn the other hand, the children kept whispering among themselves, saying stuff like ‘Whoa~!’ ‘A Dragon is kneeling!’ ‘Nii-chan, so cool!’ as they stared at the two of us.\n
“Geez…… After I finally got myself a new home…”\n
“Um…… Apologies, Noah-dono. If only I hadn’t proposed to give you a tour…..”\n
“No, it’s not your fault. Pappie’s the one completely at fault here.”\n
“……”\n</ins>\n\nPappie kept his mouth shut as tight as possible. He seems nothing like a Dragon that has lived for over a thousand years and was acquainted with the Demon King Lylcara. I wonder if his mental age has yet to mature.\n
I turned towards where my home originally stood, having been utterly burnt to crisps.\nThere’s no sign of the smoked deer meat that I kept inside either. The only fortunate thing in this disaster was that the timber we brought was safe, as well as the children and Lute-san.\n
“M’ster, what’cha gonna do?”\n
“There’s nothing else to do…… but to give him a good beating later on.”\n
“You’re… going to beat me……?”\n
“I’m cool with tearing your fangs off too.”\n
“…… At least, let me off with recoverable injuries please.”\n
How honest. Well, it was him who was completely at fault this time, after all.\nFor now, the problem at hand would be the matter of my residence. After all the trouble of attaining it, it completely turned into ash.\n
“Noah-dono…… if it’s alright with you, how about letting me plan it from the ground up again?”\n
“Lute-san, is that really okay?”\n</ins>\n\n“Indeed. From the get go, wouldn’t it be better to build a new house that would be easier to use for Noah-dono rather than the one that was already at hand? And this time, we could start with one that will be able to keep your monsters inside as well.”\n
“Ahh…… Indeed, you’ve got a point.”\n
“I’m thinking of having your monsters take on the duty of helping out with lumberjacking, highrise operations, manual labour and the like, but…… if that’d be alright with you, of course.”\n
Now that I think about it, it’s not a bad idea to plan out what my home should look like.\nIn the first place, the only reason we were making something next door was because Milo and Pappie wouldn’t be able to enter the house. So building something big enough for the monsters to enter from the beginning, thus having everybody be able to live under a furnished roof at ease might not be a bad idea at all.\nEnough room that we could utilize the wide farmland for it as well. And besides, since monsters won’t come attacking anymore, it should be fine to get rid of the fences too. If that’s done, then it could even be made indefinitely spacious.\n
