Rimuru Tempest, formerly known as Satoru Mikami, is a 37-year-old office worker who is stabbed to death by a robber. He is reborn in a fantasy world as a slime, the weakest of monsters. Despite his initial disappointment, he enjoys his new life. His encounter with Veldora, a powerful storm dragon, changes his destiny. Rimuru, as he is now called, becomes involved in conflicts between goblins and other monsters, eventually rising to become their master and a powerful ruler in this new world. He possesses the unique ability to absorb and copy the abilities of his enemies.
